Join webcast host Vinnie Viola and special guest Abby Krueger, risk management advisor at Risk International, for an insightful discussion of the various options and coverage requirements for your multifamily assets. In this 90-minute value-add webcast, Ms. Krueger will provide specific tools to evaluate risk, understand your insurance / coverage obligations, and improve outcomes. Ms. Krueger serves as an independent risk management advisor managing risk for affordable housing clients nationwide. She co-authored Risk Management for Affordable Housing (published by National Affordable Housing Management Association) and is a frequent speaker on insurance and risk matters.

About the Presenters
Abigail Krueger is an executive risk advisor with Risk International. She brings over 35 years of insurance and risk experience, with significant experience as a risk management consultant and advisor for four of the significant providers of independent risk management consulting services. Prior to entering the consulting field, she served as a commercial insurance brokerage key account manager. This position arose from her work as a claims advocate, where she championed the rights of insureds to insurance companies. She has also served as brokerage IT manager, claims adjuster, commercial insurance broker, and trainer.
Ms. Krueger holds the following insurance industry-recognized designations: CPCU (Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriter), ARM (Associate in Risk Management) and AIC (Associate in Claims). She has served as Adjunct Faculty in Northeastern University’s Insurance program, and currently teaches classes sponsored by the Insurance Library of Boston. Ms. Krueger is a graduate of the University of Chicago, with a degree in Behavioral Science.
Vinnie Viola
Vinnie Viola is Principal of Birch Island Real Estate Consulting, LLC, founded in 2013. Building on 30+ years of broad affordable housing experience, Vinnie's company primarily provides consulting services and trainings to developers, investors and operators of multifamily housing financed with LIHTC equity. He has deep expertise in multifamily asset management best practices. Over his career, he has proactively asset managed thousands of multifamily rental units in hundreds of investment partnerships, comprising billions in investor contributed tax credit equity. Vinnie earned a BA from University of Massachusetts, Boston and an MPA from University of Texas, Dallas. He also completed a certificate in real estate finance from Boston University’s Metropolitan College. Vinnie served as Director of Asset Management with non-profit developer Madison Park Development Corporation, located in Nubian Square, Boston, MA, from November 2019 to January 2023.
