In this two-hour webcast, host and veteran asset manager Vinnie Viola explores his ten key questions that multifamily owners and developers should ask in their business planning for real estate assets. Vinnie draws on thirty-plus years of experience working for and consulting to tax credit syndicators, non-profit and for-profit multifamily developers and owners of LIHTC rental housing, among others. The training drills down on variables that contribute to a robust asset management platform. These include the ability timely identify debt maturities and refinancing opportunities, tracking property financial performance against meaningful benchmarks, annual planning for capital expenditures and much more. ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Vinnie Viola, HCCP, MPA is Principal of Birch Island Real Estate Consulting, LLC, founded in 2013. Building on 30+ years of broad affordable housing experience, Vinnie's company primarily provides consulting services and trainings to developers, investors and operators of multifamily housing financed with LIHTC equity. He has deep expertise in multifamily asset management best practices. Over his career, he has proactively asset managed thousands of multifamily rental units in hundreds of investment partnerships, comprising billions in investor contributed tax credit equity. Vinnie earned a BA from University of Massachusetts, Boston and an MPA from University of Texas, Dallas. He also completed a certificate in real estate finance from Boston University’s Metropolitan College. Vinnie served as Director of Asset Management with non-profit developer Madison Park Development Corporation, located in Nubian Square, Boston, MA from November 2019 to January 2023.
