About the Presenters
Vinnie Viola
Vinnie is principal of Birch Island Real Estate Consulting, which celebrated its 12th anniversary in 2025. Vinnie provides training and consulting services to owners, developers, operators and investors of affordable housing funded with Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) equity. With over 30 years’ experience, Vinnie has worked in for-profit, not-for-profit and government organizations that develop, invest in, manage and regulate affordable housing leveraging LIIHTC equity. He has expertise in asset management of multifamily and commercial real estate. From 2019-2023, Vinnie served as Director of Asset Management for non-profit affordable housing developer Madison Park Development Corporation (Boston, MA), with direct responsibility for 110,000 square feet of commercial space in five mixed-use and stand-alone commercial properties. He received a BA in Geography from the University of Massachusetts, Boston and an MPA from the University of Texas, Dallas; he later completed the certificate in real estate finance program at Boston University’s Metropolitan College.
Peter W. Evans
Peter is Hunneman’s Executive Vice President & Managing Principal. In addition to overseeing daily operations and Hunneman’s strategic direction, Peter leads the Urban Advisory Group, focusing on tenant and landlord representation assignments in the Downtown Boston area. With over 25 years of industry experience, Peter has worked with and managed several leasing and sales teams in Greater Boston and has a deep knowledge of acquisitions, financing, asset, and property management. Over the course of his career, Peter has been responsible for the leasing and sale of over 15 million square feet of real estate totaling more than $5 Billion. Peter was President of the Commercial Brokers Association (CBA) in 2021 and 2022 and currently serves on the Executive Committee of the CBA Board of Directors and the Executive Committee for the DEI initiative. Peter is a member of both Building Owners Management Association (BOMA) and the Massachusetts Chapter of NAIOP.
